Knife Integration: Utilize your knife's spine as the striking tool for the fireROD XL™, leveraging its sharp edges for efficient fire ignition. Many bushcrafting knives boast unrounded spines, ideal for this purpose.

Ample Tinder Storage: Uncover the spacious compartment beneath the top cap, accommodating up to four quickLIGHT™ tabs (included) or your preferred choice of tinder, ensuring readiness for fire starting whenever needed.

Durable Repair Tape: Included with approximately 12 inches (4.7cm) of heavy-duty repair tape, this versatile material serves multiple purposes, from patching holes to crafting improvised tools, and can even be utilized as flammable tinder.

Replaceable Ferrocerium Rod: Featuring a 1/2" waterproof Ferrocerium rod, the fireROD XL™ ensures longevity and sustainability. When the rod wears out, simply unthread it from the body and replace it with a new one.

Robust Construction: Crafted from high-grade 6061 aluminum right here in the USA, the fireROD XL™ undergoes CNC machining and anodization for enhanced durability and protection. Choose from four signature Exotac® colors to suit your style and preference.
